Newry police reissue appeal for information after fatal collision

Police have reissued an appeal for information following a fatal road traffic collision on the A1 on Tuesday, 1st December.

psni51Recently retired Watch Commander Eugene McNally (56), a long serving member of the Fire and Rescue service in Newry, died following the two vehicle collision which occurred around 5.30pm between Newry and Loughbrickland.

A silver Mazda 3 and a blue Volkswagen Caddy were involved in the collision.

Speaking to Newry Times, Inspector Graham said, “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or who was travelling in this area of the A1 around 5.30pm on Tuesday. We can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 744 011215.”
