Over 100 staff attended the Birmingham event. ABP has also been recognized as a leader when it comes to sustainability and the Cahir plant recently played its part when the company was awarded the prestigious Quadruple Certification from the Carbon Trust, a global first for ABP.
Commenting on the company’s commitment to sustainability Roger Sheahan from ABP Newry said, “We all know that looking after the environment is important for this and future generations. At ABP we are committed to playing our part by producing quality Irish beef is the most sustainable way possible.
“We are also introducing other measures such as bio-diversity corridors at all of our plants. These nature areas are aimed at protecting and helping plants and wildlife to flourish in their natural habitat. We hope that initiatives such as these will benefit the local community for many years to come,” he added.
