Saval Gaelic4Mothers launch ‘Every Penny Counts’ fundraising campaign

Saval Gaelic4Mothers and Others football team will be raising much needed funds not just for themselves but more importantly for the Southern Area Hospices Services.

Coordinator Imelda Fearon explained the unique fundraising initiative to Newry Times. “We have purchased money tins which we will sell for £5, the buyer in turn fills the tin with all those unwanted 1p’s, 2p’s, loose change etc, hence Every Penny Counts and returns to the seller.”

The initiative will run for a number of months with the finale hosted in Saval GAC on Saturday 12th March 2016.

Imelda added, “There has been a great response from the local community so far and all going well it will be a major success.”
