Man, 32, charged with four Newry burglaries
A 32 year old man has been charged with a number of burglary offences, handling stolen goods and possession of class B drugs.
The charges follow four burglaries reported to police on 13th October.
Two properties in Longfield Heights in Newry were broken into along with another house on Blaney Road and one on the Newry Road in Crossmaglen.
Detectives investigating these burglaries are also questioning another two men aged 41 and 24. A vehicle, an old-style blue Audi, has also been seized.
Speaking to Newry Times, Detective Inspector David Henderson said, “We are appealing for information in relation to these crimes.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have noticed a blue old-style Audi in the Newry or South Armagh areas over recent days.
“Detectives can be contacted by calling 101. Alternatively information about crime can be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111,” he added.
The 32 year old man is expected to appear at Newry Magistrates court on 11th November. As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
