‘OFMdFM inconsistency shows dysfunction, incompetence or both’ – Bradley
SDLP Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee Dominic Bradley MLA has criticised the inconsistency between the First Minister and deputy First Minister in their testimony concerning the sale of NAMA’s northern property portfolio.
Speaking to the Finance Committee, Mr Robinson claimed that the deputy First Minister was kept informed about meetings between DUP Ministers and potential buys of the portfolio despite Martin McGuinness’ claim that he was ‘kept in the dark’.
Speaking to Newry Times, Bradley said, “Given the amount of time given to both the First Minister and deputy First Minister to prepare for these hearings we are faced with two explanations as to why they have contradicted each other in their testimony.
“Either Martin McGuinness did not realise he was being informed, indicating a concerning level of incompetence on the part of the deputy First Minister, or the Committee has been deliberately misled by the First Minister.
“The unpleasant reality highlighted by this inconsistency is the fundamental dysfunction at the heart of the Executive. They are either calling each other liars or the ability within that department is so bad that the deputy First Minister has overlooked a matter of crucial interest to the public.
The SDLP MLA added, “That both men have allowed the working relationship of the two largest parties to get to this stage is an indictment of their ability to govern.”

SDLP / UUP Alliance could not even complete one term when they were in Partnership….
Charlie Casey has some cheek SF/DUP SPAD’s ( special political advisors) at Stormont 4 each sponging off the public purse and these SPAD’s earning £78,000 a week. (Cronies from their own parties)Then there was that wee junket at Newcastle by our district Councillors spending £2,200 out of the public purse from Stormont and our district council funds. The SDLP are big enough and ugly enough to defend themselves but I will expose abuse of the public purse at every opportunity by so called ‘socialist SF’ Im also disappointed that ‘Newry Times’ failed to carry my letter on this subject.
Correction £78,000 a year
Is this the same John McCabe that commandeered photos from Google and the Daily Mail claiming they were spider bites that he photographed himself in Newry? Lol
