Excitement builds for USPCA Animal Hospital Official Opening in Newry

The USPCA is holding the Official Opening Ceremony of its Animal Hospital on Saturday 26th September at the Hospital premises at Unit 5 & 6, Carnbane Industrial Estate, Newry, Co Down.

  • Animal Health & Wellbeing Advice Clinic
  • Dog Training Exhibitions & Dog Agility Courses
  • Grooming Advice & Demonstration
  • Family Fun Day for all ages

Since 1836 the Ulster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (USPCA) has relieved the suffering of countless animals.

The Charity fulfils its objective ‘The Advancement of Animal welfare’ without any funding from government.

uspca7It is the public who underwrite the USPCA’s activities and the establishment of the Animal Hospital is a tribute to their generosity and compassion.

The USPCA Animal hospital is a State of The Art facility that prevents and relieves animal suffering in equal measure. It is the first of its kind in Ireland.

Its formal opening by Lady Ballyedmond, Widow of the late Lord Ballyedmond, and Deputy Chairman of Norbrook Laboratories Ltd, takes place on Saturday 26th September 2015 at 12 noon and marks another milestone in the history of the second oldest animal welfare charity in the world.

The President, Chair, Trustees and staff of the USPCA are delighted Lady Ballyedmond has accepted their invitation to officiate at the opening. The contribution of Norbrook to the prevention and relief of animal suffering is recognised globally.
