Newry police hunt Silver Renault Clio after spate of burglaries
Police in Newry are appealing for information following a number of burglaries on Thursday, 10th September.
A silver Renault Clio car, registration UCZ 8860, is believed to be connected to these incidents.
At around 2.15pm a number of men were seen at the rear of a property in Finnegans Road, Killeavy. The house had been entered and ransacked and the men made off in a silver Renault Clio.
Between 2.15pm and 3.45pm entry was forced to a house on Upper Fathom Road, Newry. A number of rooms were ransacked and a sum of cash taken. Three males were seen travelling in a silver Renault Clio.
A third burglary occurred at Grants Road, Jonesorough, between 1.45pm and 5pm. The house was ransacked.
A PSNI Newry spokesperson called for witnesses. “Police would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around these locations or has any information which may assist our investigations. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 657 100915.

The spokesperson added, “Police are also asking the public to remain vigilant – if you observe a silver Renault Clio acting suspiciously in your area please contact police immediately on 101.”
