Teen boy injured after assault

Police are appealing for information following an assault on a teenage boy in the Rooney Park area of Kilkeel on the evening of Saturday 15th August.

Sometime between 10pm and 10.30pm, a 16 year old boy was assaulted by a man.

He received facial injuries which required medical treatment.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Gillian Murphy said, “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact Kilkeel Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

“Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
