100 kids enjoy St Bronagh’s Summer scheme

Over 100 children aged from 5-12 recently attended St Bronagh’s Summer Fun Camp in Petit Park, Rostrevor.

stbro1The three day camp gave children the opportunity to take part in Mountain Bike Skills, Water Bouldering, Gaelic Skills, arts and craft and team games, culminating in a Family Fun Day and BBQ on the pitch on Saturday 22nd August.

Martin Daly, organising committee member said, “On behalf of the Club I would like to thank our sponsors for their generosity, as well as the providers of the activities. In addition to that I would like to mention our fantastic mentors, helpers and Gaelic volunteers and the committee who donated their time to bring this event together.

Martin added, “Our club is open to everyone in the local community and this Summer Scheme is an example of the diverse range of club activities we provide.”

St Bronagh’s GAA has almost 600 members and fields 15 teams – 9 male 4 female as well as Under 6, Under 8 and Under 12 boys and girls teams.
