Witnesses sought after cyclist knocked down in hit and run incident
Police are seeking witnesses after a hit and run road traffic collision.
Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Leona Mallon said, “We are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision on the Carrigenagh Road at around 5.45pm on August 14th.
“A cyclist was knocked from their bicycle. We are keen to speak to anyone who noticed a red coloured Toyota-type car in the area at this time.
“We would also like to speak to someone who came to the aid of the cyclist as they may have seen something which will assist with our enquiries.
She added, “If you can help please call the 101 number, quoting reference number 106514815. Alternatively information about crime can be passed via the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
