Councillor condemns ‘anti-social graffiti’ in Rostrevor
Sinn Fein Councillor for Crotlieve, Mickey Ruane, has called on people to relay their concerns on drug dealing to the police rather than vandalise private property with what he described as ‘anti-social graffiti’.
He was responding to graffiti attacking local drug dealers sprayed on a large wall along the Newtown Road in Rostrevor.
Councillor Ruane said, “While I understand the concern and frustration people feel about this matter I would urge them to share any information they might have on drug dealing in the area with the PSNI, rather than cause both distress and expense to the person whose wall is used in this way.
He added, “Ensuring the police have the information they need to take action against drug dealers is the only way to get an effective solution to what is a very serious problem for many communities today.”
