Police warn Newry motorists of Bank Holiday weekend traffic disruption

Police in Newry are warning motorists of traffic disruption in the city on Monday, 13th July, and Tuesday, 14th July as parades take place.

Diversions will be in place in and around the Belfast Road/Rathfriland Road areas from approximately 8am and in the Belfast Road, Downshire Road, Trevor Hill, Kildare Street, Hill Street and the bus station at Needham Bridge from 9am to 10.30am.

Similar Diversions will be in place from approximately 5pm to approximately 6.30pm in and around the area of Newry Bus Station, Hill Street, Kildare Street, Trevor Hill and Downshire Road.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during these times and allow extra time for their journey.

On Tuesday, 14th July diversions will be in place in and around the Downshire Road, Trevor Hill, Kildare street, Hill Street and the area of Newry bus station from 9am to 10.30am.

Similar diversions will be in place from 5pm to approximately 6.30pm.Again motorists are advised to use alternative routes and allow extra time for their journey.
