Man suffers head injuries after South Armagh assault

Police in South Armagh are appealing for information following an assault in Jonesborough.

psniAt around 3pm on Sunday, 17th May, a 21 year old man was chased from the market in Jonesborough by two males in a white Transit van with the partial registration 04-D.

The man was chased towards Jonesborough village where the two males assaulted him using hurls before making off. The victim sustained injuries to his head and arm which required medical attention.

Inspector Lorraine Dobson said, “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this assault or has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Newtownhamilton on 101, quoting ref: 846 170515.”
