Spate of Warrenpoint burglaries investigated by police
Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information after garden equipment and a bike were stolen.
Sometime overnight between Friday, 24th April and Saturday, 25th April, entry was gained to a shed at a property in Clermont Gardens.
A petrol lawnmower and petrol strimmer were taken. At another property in Clermont gardens, a maroon coloured ladies bike was stolen. The lawnmower and strimmer were later found in a garden close by.
Constable Nigel Crone explained, “We would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to these incidents. We can be contacted in Warrenpoint on 101.
“I would also like to remind householders to ensure their garden sheds and garages are properly secured. Doors of sheds should be secured with a good quality lock and all windows should be closed.
“Garden equipment and bicycles and other valuable outdoor items should be locked away. Anyone who would like further advice on protecting their property can contact their local crime prevention officer on 101.”
