Three arrests after Bessbrook burglary
Local police have arrested two men, aged 19 and 22, and a 16 year old girl after a burglary at a house in the Main Street area of Bessbrook.
In the early hours of Saturday 4th April local police received a report of a burglary and after obtaining a description of the culprits, apprehended the trio a short distance away in Orior Park.
All three were arrested and later released on bail pending further enquiries.
Speaking about the incident to Newry Times, Chief Inspector Paul Reid said, “I would encourage anyone who has any information about crime, however insignificant they may think it is, to contact Police on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
