Councillors call for action on Rostrevor parking situation
Crotlieve Sinn Féin councillors are to meet Council representatives to discuss the deteriorating parking situation in Rostrevor.
Led by Councillor Michael Ruane, they are also seeking the views of local residents and business people on how to resolve the problem.
Councillor Ruane has called for swift action. “All those who live in Rostrevor, run businesses there or visit will know how hard it can be to find parking spaces,” he told Newry Times.
“The Square is regularly packed to capacity and if Rostrevor is to achieve the growth in visitors to its fast developing tourism offering a solution must be found as soon as possible.
He added, “I urge all concerned residents and local business people to get involved in this process so we can resolve this very serious problem successfully.”
