Irish downhill champion in Rostrevor for free event

Irish Downhill Mountain Bike Champion Colin Ross (Rosco) will be in The Cloughmore Centre, the new events space in Kilbroney Park this Friday (10th April) as a special guest at the Mountain Bike Skills and Safety Workshop.

IDC1The workshop is one of six events delivered at the centre. As part of the East Border Region Tourism Development Plan, Newry & Mourne District Council secured funding from the EU’s INTERREG IVA Programme to run this series of events at the recently built Event Space in Kilbroney Park.

The workshop is designed for parents and children aged 7+ to learn more about different types of mountain biking, the equipment required for safe biking and you’ll hear top tips and advice from Colin Ross as well as see demos on biking and bike repairs.

IDC2The event is free to attend, runs from 11-2pm and lunch is provided. Children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

To book call or text 077 2029 4413, PM through the Facebook page facebook.com/cloughmorecentre.

This project is part-financed by the European Union’s INTERREG IVA Cross-border Programme managed by the Special EU Programmes Body.
