Newry company shortlisted for prestigious awards
Newry company, Nautilus NI, has been shortlisted in the IT & Telecommunications sector of The Irish Times InterTradeIreland Innovation Awards.
The shortlist features entries from established companies, innovators, start-ups and academia, with five companies from Northern Ireland being shortlisted.
Nautilus NI Ltd, which is based in Newry, has been nominated for its anti-counterfeiting patented technology, Nautilus Tilt to View.
This system is less invasive than holograms and features nano-embossing and printed hidden images. The company is already selling Nautilus Tilt to View in international markets.
Jose Calixto, Chief Operations Officer, Nautilus NI said, “Reaching the final of The Irish Times Innovation Awards 2015 is a recognition that despite not having the size or budget for R&D that any big transnational company has, Nautilus has been able to come up with an outstanding innovative solution for the anti-counterfeiting and brand protection industry.
“It is proof to our current customers that they have chosen the right supplier and partner and it is very encouraging for everyone who works in Nautilus to keep being innovative, disrupting the market with products like our Nautilus Tilt to View,” he added.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on the 17th April in Belfast.
