Newry police arrest two men caught driving stolen vehicle
Police in Newry have arrested two men after locating a stolen vehicle.
Police were on patrol in the Bessbrook area when they observed a green Landrover Defender being driven erratically along Millvale Road around 2.50am on Wednesday, 18th March.
Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested two men. A 28 year old man was arrested for driving whilst unfit, taking a motor vehicle without authority, no driving licence and no insurance.
An 18 year old man was arrested for allowing himself to be carried. Both men were later arrested on bail pending further enquiries. The vehicle was confirmed as stolen.
