11 year old boy injured in Newry collision

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a road traffic collision.

Police received a report of a one vehicle collision, involving a blue Mercedes, at a shopping centre on Buttercrane Quay around 4.15pm on Monday, 2nd March.

An 11 year old male pedestrian was injured during the collision and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable McGaffin explained, “During the incident a female passed her phone to a member of the public and did not retrieve it. The phone is a black Nokia Classic.

“We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has information about the whereabouts of the phone. We can be contacted in Ardmore on 101, quoting ref: 844020315.”
