Newry police call for witnesses after arson attack

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an arson attack.

Around 2.20am on Wednesday, 21st January, a red Peugeot 306, parked in a yard just off Bridge Street, was set on fire. Police and NIFRS attended.

The car was completely destroyed and damage was also caused to the gable of nearby business premises.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Rory Warnock explained, “We would like to hear from anyone who noticed any activity around the area during this time or anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 6121015.”
