Body found in search for missing woman

Police have confirmed that a body of a woman that was found on a beach near Ballymartin yesterday evening, Wednesday 14th January, is that of missing person, 68 year old Aileen Finch.

Speaking to Newry Times, Sergeant Kelly-Anne Warnock said, “I would like to thank members of the public, the local coastguard and local search and rescue teams that provided assistance in this search.”

The 68 year old woman left her home during the night on 14th January and had not been seen since.
