64 year old man hit by van in South Armagh incident

Police in South Armagh are appealing for information following an incident in Crossmaglen.

At around 1pm on Wednesday, 3rd December, an altercation took place in North Street close to a disabled parking bay.

A 64 year old man was struck by a light blue Volkswagen van as it was driven away from North Street, after being parked close to the disabled bay.

Constable William Nulty explained, “The van had a roof rack with ladders and the driver is described as being around 5ft 4in tall and aged in his twenties.

“The driver was verbally abusive to a 64 year old man who parked a red Nissan Qashqai in the disabled bay.

“The rear passenger side window of the Qashqai was also broken. We would like to hear from the driver of the Volkswagen van or anyone who witnessed the incident. We can be contacted on 101, quoting ref: 519031214,” he added.
