SDLP South Down MLA Karen McKevitt recently welcomed The Brain Injury Foundation to Stormont for a guided tour of Parliament Buildings. Speaking to Newry Times, Karen said, “It was a great pleasure to welcome and host, Frank Dolaghan, Chair of the Brain Injury Foundation along with a large number from his group. “They were truly inspiring people to be with, and they thoroughly enjoyed their visit and the craic. I commend Frank and the group for the work they do in counties Down and Armagh, and for their success in attracting substantial funding to develop a new cross-border relationship with Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. She added, “This new collaboration will examine new ways and initiatives to help brain injury survivors and carers on both sides of the border.” Karen also thanked Minister Kennedy and MLA Pat Ramsey for meeting the group and joining them on the tour.
