Sinn Féin Councillor Sinead Ennis has congratulated Burren GAA on winning the Paul McGirr Tournament. Speaking to Newry Times, Councillor Ennis said, “I would like to congratulate Burren GAA on winning the Paul McGirr Tournament at the weekend. “The Paul McGirr Tournament is an under 16 competition that showcases the strength of the up and coming GAA teams and players right across Ulster. In a closely contested contest they overcame St Brigids by three points and as Burren is my home club I was delighted to see success come our way. “The GAA has again proven to be a organisation consistently providing sporting excellence to the local community. I now looking forward for more success for local clubs in the years ahead,” she added.
