Andrea Begley brings new album to Down Arts Centre
Down Arts Centre are delighted to welcome the winner of The Voice UK, 2013, Andrea Begley, to Down Arts Centre on Saturday 6th December at 8pm.
The 2013 UK Winner of the Voice, Andrea Begley comes from strong musical heritage as her aunt is country music legend Philomena Begley.
In 2013 Andrea won the second series of The Voice UK, with Danny O’Donaghue of the Script acting as her mentor.
Andrea’s first album, The Message reached number 7 in the UK charts in October last year. Andrea now brings this album to the stage, as well as some of the Irish traditional music that has influenced her as a singer from a young age.
This December, Down Arts Centre offers you the opportunity to tap into your creativity to make your own unique festival decorations. On Friday 19th and Saturday 20th December, join tutor Clive Lyttle at a half-day Christmas Wreath Workshop where you will use locally grown, colourful holly, willow and spruce to create a beautiful door wreath for your home.
The workshop runs twice each day (10am – 1pm and 1.30pm – 4.30pm) to allow for your busy Christmas schedule. On Saturday 13th December Elizabeth Rea will lead a one-day workshop in Christmas Flower Arranging from 11am – 3pm.
Participants will learn the basic flower arranging skills for traditional and contemporary design in order to create their own festive floral art arrangements.
