The Holy Holy Bus at Newry Town Hall
Fresh from their critically acclaimed New York run of Man in the Moon in September, Brassneck Theatre Company returns to the stage with The Holy Holy Bus in Newry.
Man In The Moon wowed the New York press:
“Man in the Moon: Irish Delight.” “This is a beautiful piece of art.”
“This one man show produced by the fantastic Brassneck Theatre Company and directed by Tony Devlin, swept them away in Edinburgh and will do the same for you…”
Audiences can enjoy The Holy Holy Bus at Newry Town Hall on Saturday 22nd November.
This latest production by Brassneck Theatre Company is a hilariously madcap adventure about love, hope, happiness and faith from the producers of A Night With George and Man In The Moon.
There is a bus that leaves a West Belfast parish once a year to see the holy sites of Ireland… the locals refer to it as The Holy Holy Bus. The story follows four of the female faithful on a journey of personal pilgrimage, which by the time they have returned home, will have changed all of their lives forever!
“The Holy, Holy Bus will have you laughing, crying and even praying for some divine inspiration along the way!” (Tony Devlin, Director -The Holy Holy Bus).
“The Holy Holy Bus was inspired by two things – my granny Lily and ‘faith.’ Lily used to go on the ‘Holy Holy Bus’ and tell me about their antics and the saints they had seen. Faith is the great leveller that puts manners on one and that offers solace and comfort in the darkest times. I can’t say I am a religious man but I do like to be around people who do have faith. It reassures me and it instils that sense of wonder I think we all should have and that we dare not lose.” (Pearse Elliott, Writer – The Holy Holy Bus).
Strictly for over 15s only.
Tickets are available by calling 028 30313180 or in person at the Sean Hollywood Arts Centre.
