Newry teen arrested for driving offences

Police in Newry have arrested and charged a teenager for a number of driving offences as they focus on road safety. Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Conor Valentine said, “Whilst conducting a road safety speed check operation in the Dublin Road area on Tuesday night, 4th November, we stopped a car. “An 18 year old male was arrested for driving at excess speed and driving licence offences. He was later charged to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court on 19 November. “As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.”
