Information sought after Chancellors Road theft

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the theft of an articulated trailer.

Constable Chris Wolfe, Newtownhamilton Response, explained, “On Sunday, 19th October, around 10.30pm the 45ft, amber yellow, trailer was taken from a yard on Chancellors Road.

“The trailer bears the logo ‘Currie European Transport’ written in white and also has a distinctive rear plate with the number EV568 on it.

“The trailer was removed by a white, front cab, Volvo lorry. It is believed it drove off in the direction of the A1 carriageway.

He added, “I am asking anyone who has information about the movements or whereabouts of this trailer to contact us in Newtownhamilton on the 101 number, quoting ref: 400201014.”
