Police probe South Armagh theft

Police in Newry are appealing for information following the theft of gas cylinders.

Constable Colin Jamieson, Newtownhamilton Response, explained, “Around 2am on Saturday, 4 October, a silver Ford Transit vehicle pulled into the forecourt of a Spar store on Forkhill Road.

“An occupant of the vehicle broke open the gas storage cage and took between 25 and 30 Pro Gas red and yellow cylinders.

“I am appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact us in Newtownhamilton on the 101 number,” he added.
