Car set alight in Bessbrook arson incident

Local police are appealing for information after a report of arson at Dobson’s Way, Bessbrook in the early hours of Thursday 9th October.

Speaking to Newry Times, Constable Peter Coulter said, “At around 5:20am, it was reported that a car parked in the driveway at the front door of a house in the area was set alight.

“It is believed that a male and female along with four young children were inside the house at the time of the incident, but were not injured.

“Enquiries are continuing and officers in Newtownhamilton Police Station can be contacted on the 101 non-emergency number and anyone with any information should quote reference 124091014.

Constable Coulter added, “If you prefer to provide information without giving your details you can contact the independent Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
