Warrenpoint theft prompts police investigation

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following a theft.

Constable Aimee Fletcher, Warrenpoint Response, explained to Newry Times, “Some time between Friday, 5th September and Thursday, 18th September, an outboard engine was stolen.

“The engine was padlocked to a boat, kept in the garden of a house on Shore Road, Rostrevor. It is a black, 2.5 horsepower, mercury, four stroke outboard engine with serial number OR217370. It has a McAleese Marine logo in it.

Constable Fletcher added, “I would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to the theft or whereabouts of this item and can be contacted on the 101 number.”
