Newry woman pushed to the ground during mugging

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a robbery on Hospital Road.

Around 2.35pm on Monday, 7th April, a 38 year old woman was walking along the road when she was pushed to the ground from behind and her handbag stolen.

The male assailant ran off with her handbag up Hospital Road, towards Parkhead.

He is described as being approximately 18 to 20 years old, 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with a clean shaven, swarthy complexion. He was wearing a mustard yellow hoodie.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or has information in relation to it to contact them in Newry on the 101 non-emergency number, quoting ref: 809070414.
