Police charge man after boiling water poured over men and 3 year old girl

A 41 year old man has been charged with grevious bodily harm with intent and 2 counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The charges are in connection with an incident in the Drumlin Grange area of Ballyward last night when 2 men aged 34 and 36 and a 3 year old girl were injured after hot water from a kettle had been thrown over them.

He is expected to appear before Newry Magistrates Court tomorrow, Saturday 5th April.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
