Pedestrians hit by bottle throwing men in Newry incident

Police in Newry are appealing for information after a report of an incident at the Armagh Road, Newry area on Friday 14th March.

At around 11:50am, it was reported that two pedestrians were struck by plastic water bottles thrown from a car in the area.

It is not believed the injuries of the pedestrians are serious.

Two males aged 24 years old and 20 years old were arrested in relation to the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

Anyone who may have information relating to the incident or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Police at Newry on 0845 600 8000 quoting reference 426140314 or alternatively information can be given anonymously to independent charity, Crimestoppers by ringing 0800 555 111.
