Man, 66, ‘punched on the face’ during Newry mugging

Police in Newry are appealing for information following an assault on High Street. At around 1.45am on Friday, 7th March, a 66 year old man was assaulted by two men. He was punched to the face and knocked to the ground and the assailants took a sum of cash from his pocket. Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the assault or has information in relation to it to contact police in Ardmore on 0845 600 8000, quoting ref: 658100314.
