Cash and car stolen after creeper burglars ransack Newry house

Police in Newry are appealing for information following a creeper burglary in Laurel Hill. Some time overnight between Sunday, 9th March and Monday, 10th March entry was forced to the rear of a house. The house was ransacked and a sum of cash in £1 coins taken. Car keys were also taken and a red Toyota Rav 4 was subsequently stolen from the property. This vehicle was later located at Carnagat Cottages and was observed in the area around 11.30pm on Sunday, 9th March. Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000, quoting ref: 512100314. They would particularly like to hear from any business who is offered a large number of £1 coins as tender or to be changed into notes or anyone who noticed any activity in these areas during this time.
