Man, (32) arrested by Newry police after drugs find

Local police, as part of Operation Torus, have arrested a 32 year old man on suspicion of possession of a class B controlled drug, possession of a class A controlled drug, possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply and possession of a class A controlled drug with intent to supply.

The arrests follows a search at residential premises in the First Avenue area of Newry on the afternoon of Friday 28th February where a quantity of suspected drugs were seized.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
