Five Key Figures in Irish History at Newry Museum
Following on from their very successful history course “Five Key Moments in Irish History” last year the Museum will host “Five Key Figures in Irish History” from 10th – 14th March, at 10am to 12pm.
This course offers those who never studied Irish history the opportunity to know more about the events and people that have shaped our lives as guest lecturers from The Queen’s University, Belfast will visit the Museum to deliver this five day history course.
These talks focus on the people who shaped our history and had a direct influence on the development of Newry and Mourne including:
• Hugh O’Neill
• Oliver Cromwell
• Wolfe Tone
• John Mitchel
• Sir James Craig.
