Rostrevor house ‘ransacked’ after burglary

Crotlieve Sinn Féin candidate for the May council elections, Mark Gibbons, has called on anyone seeing suspicious behaviour around St Rita’s in Rostrevor on the evening of February 19th to report it to the PSNI.

“A long term resident of the estate came home that evening to find their house ransacked,” Gibbons explained to Newry Times.

“This is a very shocking and distressing event for anyone and follows other break-ins in the area and I would urge anyone with information to contact the police.”

He added, “I would also ask that people in the area look out for suspicious behaviour on behalf of themselves and neighbours, particularly elderly ones.”
