Ennis raises Mayobridge concerns with agencies

Sinn Féin Councillor Sinéad Ennis has raised issues on behalf of residents in Mayobridge at a recent multi-agency meeting, held in Warrenpoint Town Hall.

Among the issues raised by Councillor Ennis are the problems of broken/unfinished street lights on the Bavan Road area of the village and defective rain water gullies in St. Anne’s Park.

Councillor Ennis said, “Having been contacted by residents in Mayobridge who have been trying to have these problems addressed for some time, I used the multi-agency meeting to petition Roads Service on these and other issues in the Upper Crotlieve area.

“I have secured an agreement from the agencies responsible to address these issues as soon as possible. It is imperative that these street lights are in place as a matter of urgency as there is an issue of community safety at hand.

Ennis added, “The Bavan Road is a busy road and people have to be able to see where they are walking and driving.”
