Stolen trailers recovered in cross-border police investigation

Police in Newtownhamilton worked with colleagues in An Garda Siochana to recover two stolen trailers.

Some time between 6pm on Friday, 7th February and 9.30am on Saturday morning, 8th February, two 45ft trailers and a 30ft trailer were stolen from business premises on Ellisholding Road, Newry.

The trailers are not roadworthy and were used for storage.

Two of the trailers were recovered by An Garda Siochana in County Meath on Saturday, 8th February.

A green, 45ft tri-axle trailer, containing a large quantity of motor engines, remains outstanding.

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to the theft or whereabouts of the trailer to contact them. They would also like to hear from anyone who is offered the trailer or motor engines as scrap.
