Newry’s Rev. Barry the new Moderator of Presbyterian Church

Danny Kennedy, Ulster Unionist MLA for Newry and Armagh, has offered his warm congratulations to the Rev. Dr. Michael Barry who has been elected as the new Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

Speaking to Newry Times, Kennedy said, “I would like to offer my heartfelt and sincere congratulations to Rev. Dr. Michael Barry on being elected as the new Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.

“Michael has been Minister of First Newry Presbyterian Church since 1985 and has been a great friend to all the people of Newry.

“I wish Michael and his family every Blessing and look forward to him officially taking up his new role on 2nd June as he succeeds Rt. Rev. Dr. Rob Craig. He will be in our thoughts and prayers,” Kennedy added.
