Police call for witnesses after ‘corrosive liquid’ poured over Newry cars

Police in Newry are appealing for information after some form of corrosive liquid was poured over two parked cars in the City overnight on Friday 24th January. It was reported that damage was caused to the paintwork of an Audi car parked in the Iveagh Crescent area and a Mercedes car parked in the Violet Hill Avenue area during the incidents. Police would ask anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area or who has any information to contact them at Ardmore Police Station on 0845 600 8000. Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
