The Northern Ireland Independent Retail Trade Association (NIIRTA) has welcomed DETI Minister Foster’s announcement of a comprehensive review of business red tape. NIIRTA Chief Executive Glyn Roberts said, “This is a welcome announcement and I look forward to contributing to this review and engaging with the Advisory Panel. “In recent years the burden of red tape on our members has increased and we want to see them spending more time running their shops, rather than wasting time with unnecessary paperwork. Roberts added, “For this Review to work it must include every Executive Department to ensure any future regulation is small business friendly. Sensible targets need to be set to reduce red tape on an annual basis.”
