Parcel bound for ‘elderly disabled woman’ stolen

Police in Warrenpoint are appealing for information following the report of the theft of a parcel from Post Office premises in Church Street on Wednesday 30th October.

It is believed the package, which contained food from a Christmas Club, intended for an elderly disabled woman, was claimed fraudulently by a woman described as being of heavy build with dark curly hair and is thought to have been driving a blue Nissan Micra car.

Police would ask anyone with any information which may assist them with their enquiries to contact Warrenpoint PSNI on 0845 600 8000.

Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 1111.
