Fresh success for B/E Aerospace
B/E Aerospace at Kilkeel has built its 100,000th ‘pax’ (passenger seat place) this year, a landmark production achievement for a company which already manufactures more than a quarter of the world’s airline seating.
Martin McGinley, Managing Director & Vice President of B/E Aerospace Kilkeel, congratulated the 830 employees, stating, “This is a fantastic achievement and tangible evidence of the high levels of expertise, dedication and commitment of all our employees.
He added, “We’re proud to be playing our part within the B/E Aerospace network, providing seating and interior products for all the world’s major airlines.”
The honour of producing the 100,000th pax – an order for economy class seating for German national airline, Lufthansa, fell to Line 4 at the factory and there were cheers from the team as Martin McGinley rolled out a cake to celebrate the occasion.
