Man, woman and child attacked in Newry by gang of youths
Police in Newry are appealing for information following the report of an assault in the High Street area in the early hours of Friday 1st November.
It was reported that between 3am and 3.30am a 21 year old man and a 21 year old woman accompanied by a fourteen year old girl had all been assaulted by a number of youths in an underpass.
The youths were described as being in their teens and are believed to have made off in the direction of the Lower Water Street car park.
According to Newry police, the first of three youths involved was been described as a teenage male, approximately 17 years old, around 5’7″ tall of slim build with ginger hair and was wearing a black hoodie. The second was described as a female aged around 17, about 5’2″ tall with short spiky red hair and swarthy complexion.
The third was described as a female around 14 year old with long blonde hair of medium build who was wearing shorts and training shoes. The injured parties suffered cuts and bruising. Police would ask anyone with any information or who noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them in Newry on 0845 600 8000.
