Woman, 56, arrested after South Armagh arson attack

Police in Newry have arrested a 56 year old female following an arson attack in the Barr Road area of Belleeks. At around 9pm on Sunday, 6th October, police received a report of suspicious activity at a house. Officers attended and found that an attempt had been made to set fire to a living room. Damage was caused to a settee and blinds. A 56 year old female was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary, arson, resisting arrests and assault on police. She is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
