Action Cancer’s Big Bus visits Gordons Chemists in Warrenpoint

The Action Cancer Big Bus will visit Gordons Chemists in Warrenpoint on Thursday 24th October – to encourage women aged 40-49 and 70+ to avail of free breast screening.

The Big Bus is a mobile clinic that offers cancer prevention and early detection services including digital breast screening, health promotion and MOT health checks.

The partnership between Northern Ireland’s leading independent pharmacy chain and Action Cancer is now in its sixth year. To date, 2,600 women have completed self-referral forms in store and staff and customers have raised £175,000.

The fundraising campaign runs throughout October in Gordons Chemists Warrenpoint with a special ‘Breast Action Day’ on Friday 18th October when women will be able to enjoy mini manicures , remember friends or loved ones they may have lost to this disease or maybe even give themselves cheer as they undergo treatment.
